2:00 pm Celebrate New Mexico Heritage Preservation Month in Hillsboro on May 17th The Second Annual Heritage Music Festival will kick off at 2:00 pm. Six bands will perform 45-50 minute sets followed by a seventh band with a 2-hour danceable finale. Local and regional performers bring together folk, blues, country, swing and bluegrass reflecting New Mexico’s diverse musical roots. A Silent Auction with an array of local artists’ works and historic memorabilia will be featured in the cafeteria during the Festival. Tax-deductible items are being accepted for the Silent Auction. Special guest, biographer Patsy Crow King will be available to autograph the latest edition of Sadie Orchard, The Time of Her Life during the tour and concert.
