Serving Southwestern New Mexico and Southeastern Arizona, KSIL is a
full service, locally owned and operated radio station with studios
located in historic downtown Silver City, New Mexico.
KSIL is a
Class C1 FM station licensed to Hurley, New Mexico, and transmits from
Pinos Altos Mountain at a height of 1063 feet above average terrain.
KSIL
programs an eclectic mix of music including Americana, Alternative
Country, Bluegrass, Folk, Roots Rock, R & B and more.
KSIL
broadcasts hourly news from Feature Story News from 6am to 6pm weekdays
as well as news updates and summaries several times per day on
weekends. Weather forecasts, Community Calendar, and Entertainment
Calendar are regularly heard, and well known local air personality Dan
Stokes is heard every weekday from 2pm to 6pm.
KSIL also
programs several well known syndicated programs. “Earth and Sky” is
heard twice daily as well as weekly presentation of “Southwest Stages”,
"Into the Blue", "Blues Deluxe", "Putumayo World Music Hour", "etown",
and “Red Steagall’s Cowboy Corner”.
