9:00 a.m. The Vets Blues Bike-Run will be held in conjunction with the Mimbres Arts Council Blues Festival. We will be having another Poker Run and this year it will be approximately 135 miles. We plan to go from Silver City Hwy 180 East to Highway 61 by City of Rocks, through San Lorenzo which is Highway 25 to Lake Roberts, then to Highway 15 to the Gila Cliff Dwellings. Then we turn around and come back on Highway 15 to Pinos Altos, down to Silver City and Gough Park, in time for the Blues Festival music. (The last rider should be back by 3pm). Make your hotel reservation early as rooms will fill up quickly and you MUST tell them you are with the Bike-Run to get the special rate. Super 8 Motel $50/night plus tax, etc. 575-388-1983. Comfort Inn $80/night plus tax, etc 575-534-1883. We are stil working with Motel 6 and Econo Lodge. As soon as we get a rate, we will post it at this website. We will have both Silver and Cobre High Schools open and the National Guard in Santa Clara. We hope to have some camping sites at Bataan Park. We will also have a VICTORY VEGAS 8 BALL MOTORCYCLE BLACK 100 CI to raffle. Tickets are $25 each and winner need not be present to win.
